The Edwin Group, Smart Teachers' parent company, has been named in The Sunday Times Top 10 Best Places to Work in the UK 2023 in the category for “big” companies.
We are delighted to have achieved an ‘Excellent’ rating in all categories and be recognised as having industry leading and world-class levels of employee engagement across the Group’s eight companies.
The annual awards, which include organisations ranging in size from 10 employees to over 2,000, are widely acknowledged for using the most rigorous and extensive approach to assessing how connected and satisfied staff are with their workplace. Employee engagement is measured against six key drivers - reward and recognition; information sharing; empowerment; pride; job satisfaction; and wellbeing, and all scores and ratings used to compile the Best Places to Work lists are based solely on employee responses.
Results highlights included 92% of staff feeling happy in their job, 94% being proud to work for the Group, and a 94% confidence score in management (compared to 73% within the industry and globally). And with a net promoter score (NPS) of 50 and above being considered excellent, the Group is elated to have scored 80.
Commenting on the awards, Liam Roberts, CEO of The Edwin Group said: “I’m extremely proud that the collective efforts of all our staff, to create a supportive and caring environment, have been recognised by The Sunday Times. At The Edwin Group, our people are at the heart of what we do, and it validates our efforts to build, sustain and continually improve the very special culture we have across the Group”.
