Full time teaching assistant needed to start after October half term for the rest of the academic year in a mainstream primary school
This is a 1-2-1 role working with 2 pupils with Autism in Year 4 and Year 2.
You must have experience working with SEN

About the role
A mainstream primary school is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching assistant to work with 2 pupils with ASD (autism), one in Year 4 and the other in Year 2.
The school are looking for someone who is confident, firm, hands on in their role and is able to adapt throughout the day where needed.
You should-
-Have experience working with special educational needs (SEN)
-Be able to work off your own initiative, be able to identify needs of the pupil throughout the day and act on this
-Be able to work with other staff members following plans and ensuring the pupils are receiving all the support needed
-Be a hands on individual who is able to get stuck in from day one
-Understand the importance of providing the correct support to the pupils and therefore be passionate about your work
-Be firm but fair, confident in your ability working with children with additional needs and be proactive
About the school
The school is a mainstream primary school. They are wanting a TA who has all the relevant experience working with SEN and can support the pupils in need
The school has high standards for the support of the pupil and therefore you should be able to meet these standards.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant you will:
- Have a DBS on the updated service or be willing to apply for one
- Have experience working with SEN
- Be confident working with SEN
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Prior experience supporting SEN
Key responsibilities
As SEN Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for:
- Provide support to two pupils with autism throughout the school day
- Working alongside other staff members ensuring the pupils are receiving the support
