We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a large, dynamic secondary school in Enfield. This role involves supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across various subjects, helping them to achieve their full potential in a mainstream setting.
About the role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in creating an inclusive classroom environment, working alongside teachers and the SENCO to support learning and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEND.
- Assist teachers in delivering adapted lessons that meet the needs of individual students.
- Support the emotional and social development of SEND students, helping them engage in the wider school community.
- Monitor and record student progress, sharing insights with teachers and the SENCO

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will:
- Previous experience working with SEND students, ideally within a secondary school environment.
- Strong communication, patience, and empathy, with the ability to build rapport with students and adapt to their individual needs.
- A proactive, adaptable approach to working in a dynamic classroom setting, supporting various learning styles and challenges
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
