English Teacher

I am recruiting for a specialist school for children and young people aged 5 to 19 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. The school provides a safe and supportive environment where every student is encouraged to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

About the role

They are seeking a passionate, innovative, and skilled English Teacher to join their team, specialising in GCSE-level instruction. This role requires an individual who can create a positive and stimulating learning environment and is dedicated to supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate engaging English lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
• Create and tailor educational materials to accommodate students of different abilities, including those requiring additional support.
• Employ innovative and differentiated teaching approaches to inspire student participation and facilitate academic progress.
• Cultivate a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that fosters critical thinking, collaboration, and enthusiasm for English.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of English Teacher you will:

• • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in English or a related discipline.
• • Demonstrated success in teaching English, with evidence of improving student performance.
• • Experience supporting students with special educational needs is advantageous.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
