Smart Teachers is recruiting for a passionate and committed Spanish Teacher to join a high-performing secondary academy in Hackney on a full-time, fixed-term basis from now until the end of the academic year (July 2025).
About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a modern languages specialist to contribute to a vibrant and inclusive learning environment, where languages are celebrated and student achievement is consistently high. The ability to teach Spanish up to Key Stage 4 is essential.

Deliver engaging and well-structured Spanish lessons to KS3 and KS4

Contribute to the wider Modern Foreign Languages faculty, sharing best practice and resources

Support pupils of all abilities, helping to raise attainment and build language confidence

Take part in relevant parent evenings, language-based enrichment or revision sessions (as needed)

Ensure high expectations for behaviour and achievement are upheld in every lesson

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Spanish Teacher you will:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
- Experience teaching Spanish up to GCSE level (KS4)
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for languages
- A reflective, proactive approach to improving practice
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
