About the role
Job Purpose
With the expansion of the school, there is an opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo) and Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to join the team. The role involves overseeing the development, operation, and management of the Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision while holding lead responsibility for safeguarding and child protection. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with relevant legislation and promote inclusive practices throughout the school.
- Applicants should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have substantial experience working with children with SEND and autism spectrum conditions (ASC).
- A strong ability to engage with pupils and their families in a sensitive and constructive manner is essential, along with a sound understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and its application. T
- The role also requires an understanding of the principles of school improvement, including planning, monitoring, and reviewing progress. The ability to analyse SEND data effectively and communicate specialised information clearly to both educational and non-educational audiences is crucial.
