1-2-1 TA working with pupil with autism in KS1
About the role
A mainstream primary school is looking for an SEN TA to join them from January, supporting a child in Year 2 with autism.
This is a full time role, Monday - Friday 8:30 - 16:00 and you must have experience working with special needs.
Your roles will include-
-Supporting the pupil throughout the day where needed. This will include academic support, emotional support and social support
-Working alongside the class teacher monitoring the progress of the pupil and ensuring they are receiving all the support needed
-Supporting with lunchtime and playground duties
-Assisting class teacher with set up of classrooms, school trips, and tidying after lessons

The school is a one form entry primary school located in Hackney.
The school has a strong sense of community with high standards for their children, and are looking for a TA who can share this.
You will receive support where needed from the SENCO, class teachers and partner TA's.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching assistant you will:
- Have a DBS on the updated service or be willing to apply for one
- Have experience working with SEN children
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Prior experience working with children with SEN
Key responsibilities
As SEN Teaching assistant you will be responsible for:
- Provide support to a pupil with special needs throughout the day
