A mainstream primary school located in Tower Hamlets is looking for an SEN Teaching assistant to support pupils in the classroom who require additional support across Key Stage 1.
- Monday - Friday
- 08:30 - 16:00
- Working in 1-2-1 and small group settings
- Supporting pupils with ASD/Autism
About the role
You will be supporting pupils in KS1 who require additional support while working alongside the class teachers providing support where needed.
Your responsibilities will include-
- Supporting pupils in the classroom who have special education needs
- Working alongside class teachers across Key Stage 1, supporting them where needed
- Assisting with school trips, helping prepare classrooms and tidy up after lessons
- Providing small group and 1-2-1 learning interventions with pupils when needed

The school are looking for a Teaching assistant who has a passion for education and supporting pupils with their learning. Although strong experience working as a Teaching assistant is beneficial, the school are interested in individuals who are keen to learn, passionate about education and can work in a team and individually efficiently.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant you will:
- Have a DBS on the updated service or be willing to apply for one
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Prior experience working with children in a education setting
Key responsibilities
As KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for:
- Provide support to the teacher and assist pupils with their learning
