We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in Havering. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children with special educational needs (SEN) to help them access the curriculum, develop their social and emotional skills, and achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEN, including learning, social, and emotional development.
- Work closely with class teachers to adapt and modify the curriculum to meet the individual needs of students.
- Support students with physical, sensory, and/or emotional challenges to engage in classroom activities and participate fully in school life.
- Assist in the delivery of interventions and support strategies for students with SEN.
- Promote positive behavior and social skills, ensuring that students are supported in becoming independent learners.

This is a full time role Monday - Friday. 08:30 - 16;00
Requirements
To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant you will:
- Previous experience working with children, ideally within an SEN setting
- A good understanding of a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning difficulties
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Relevant qualification in childcare or special educational needs (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent)
