We are seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Havering. You will support children with special educational needs (SEN) in accessing the curriculum, developing socially and emotionally, and achieving their full potential, making a positive impact on their academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN, focusing on their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Collaborate closely with class teachers to tailor and adapt the curriculum to meet the individual needs of each student.
- Assist students with physical, sensory, and/or emotional challenges, helping them engage in classroom activities and participate fully in school life.
- Support the delivery of targeted interventions and strategies designed to aid students with SEN in their learning journey.
- Foster positive behavior and social skills, encouraging students to develop independence and become confident, self-sufficient learners.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant you will:
- Previous experience working with children, ideally within an SEN setting
- A good understanding of a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning difficulties
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Relevant qualification in childcare or special educational needs (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent)
