SEN Teaching Assistant - Romford

We are looking for a proactive, committed, and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in Romford.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to promote the learning, social, and emotional development of students with special educational needs.

• Work closely with teachers to adjust and tailor the curriculum to meet the individual needs of each student.

• Support children facing emotional, physical, or sensory challenges in fully engaging with class activities and school life.

• Assist in implementing support plans and interventions for SEN students.

• Foster positive behavior and social skills while ensuring that children remain engaged and supported.

This is a full-time position. Monday - Friday. 08:30 - 16:00

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant - Romford you will:

• Previous experience working with children, ideally within an SEN setting
• A good understanding of a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning difficulties
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

• Relevant qualification in childcare or special educational needs (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent)
