About the role

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be passionate about teaching in a non-mainstream environment and embrace the unique opportunities provided by a special school setting.
  • Demonstrate a caring and compassionate approach, using creativity to deliver inclusive, engaging, and inspiring lessons.
  • Hold a recognised UK teaching qualification (QTS or QTLS).
  • Have experience or a strong interest in working with children with SEND, gained through Initial Teacher Training (ITT) or other opportunities.
  • This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified teacher eager to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with complex needs and learning difficulties.

An Outstanding SEN school in Hackney, East London is seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join their team, supporting a Key Stage 1/2 class with 9 primary-aged students.

The school is a vibrant learning community, structured as five interconnected villages, and serves students aged 3 to 19 with a total enrolment of 150. Its innovative curriculum is designed around a progression model that supports and challenges each pupil, fostering active engagement and enthusiasm for every aspect of life and learning.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEN Primary Teacher you will:

  • Qualified Teacher Status

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • DBS on the update service
