I'm recruiting on behalf of an excellent Special Needs School based in Herne Hill. We’re looking for a SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant with relevant experience to support pupils with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and challenging behaviour.
About the role
In the role of SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Working closely with teachers and school leadership, you will take on a diverse range of responsibilities, including delivering lessons, providing targeted support to students, and contributing to the overall development of a positive and inclusive learning environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced teaching assistant to take on additional responsibilities and make a significant impact on the educational experience of our students.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) you will:
- • Higher Level Teaching Assistant Level 5
- • Have a passion to teach outside of a mainstream environment, and a commitment to experience the unique opportunities of a special school
- • Have a kind, caring, and compassionate nature which is used to plan and deliver inclusive, fun, and inspiring lessons
- • Have experience with pupils with challenging behaviour
- • Have proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, with a demonstrated ability to lead lessons and support diverse learning needs.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- • Higher Level Teaching Assistant Level 5
