We have an exciting opportunity for a SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join one of my clients.
About the role
The role would predominantly involve supporting pupils aged 11 – 17, but the successful candidate will be able to develop their expertise through working across the service as needed as part of our skilled, multi-disciplinary team.
They are looking for an outstanding, innovative, flexible and compassionate person who is willing and able to engage vulnerable children who have additional needs, in particular Emotional Based School Avoidance (EBSA).
About the school
The service is a Hospital School and Medical Pupil Referral Unit that provides education for a diverse range of students aged 5-18 who are experiencing a severe or chronic illness and/or have mental health issues.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant you will:
- • Have a passion to teach outside of a mainstream environment, and a commitment to experience the unique opportunities of a special school
- • Have a kind, caring, and compassionate nature which is used to plan and deliver inclusive, fun, and inspiring lessons
- • Have experience as a HLTA
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
