Smart Teachers is currently recruiting for a professional and highly organised Reception Administrator to join the front office team. This afternoon-only role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for supporting young people in an educational setting.
About the role

Acting as the main point of contact on reception during afternoon hours

Greeting and signing in all visitors in line with safeguarding protocols

Handling incoming calls, parent and public enquiries in a professional manner

Managing post, deliveries, and student item drop-offs
-
Logging and storing confiscated items, ensuring secure collection
-
Creating accurate records, managing visitor badges, and preparing event paperwork
-
Supporting the wider admin team with regular administrative duties including mail merges, labelling, photocopying, and database updates

Assisting with event organisation and large-scale mailings

Carrying out First Aid when required

Requirements
To be considered for the role of School Administrator you will:
- Experience in an admin or customer service role (school-based experience desirable)
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- A friendly, professional and proactive attitude
- An understanding of safeguarding procedures and confidentiality
- The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above preferred)
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
