Smart Teachers are seeking a dynamic and ambitious Politics Teacher to join a high-achieving and forward-thinking secondary academy in Hackney. This is a part-time role for three days a week (Mon–Wed) and will run on a fixed-term basis for the 2025/26 academic year.
About the role
The successful candidate will be required to teach Politics up to KS5, inspiring a diverse and intellectually curious cohort of students. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a thriving Humanities department in a school known for its strong academic outcomes and inclusive ethos.

Deliver high-quality Politics lessons across KS4 and KS5

Contribute to a department passionate about political literacy, debate and global awareness

Engage and challenge students through thought-provoking, contemporary teaching

Support wider enrichment activities, such as guest speakers, debate clubs or trips to Parliament (optional)

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Politics Teacher you will:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
- Proven experience teaching Politics to A-Level
- Strong subject knowledge, with a passion for UK and global political systems
- A commitment to inclusive and high-achieving education
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
