Graduate Teaching Assistants - Newham

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistants to join mainstream primary schools in Newham. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with a passion for for education.

About the role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to deliver dynamic and engaging lessons and activities for students.
• Offer personalized one-on-one support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring their individual needs are met.
• Assist in preparing teaching materials and resources, maintaining an organized and effective classroom environment.
• Cultivate a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages active student participation and engagement.
• Contribute to the implementation of behavior management strategies, promoting positive behavior and creating a respectful learning environment.

All schools are mainstream primary schools.

Schools expect supply staff to be punctual, organised, have strong behaviour management skills and be flexible.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Graduate Teaching Assistants - Newham you will:

• A positive and flexible attitude, with the ability to work across different year groups and subjects
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A passion for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

• Enhanced DBS check will be required (or willingness to undergo one)
• Previous experience is desirable but not essential
