Geography Teacher

Smart Teachers is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Geography Teacher to join a successful and inclusive secondary academy in Hackney. This is a full-time, fixed-term position until the end of the academic year (July 2025), offering the chance to teach highly motivated students in a well-resourced Humanities department.

About the role

The successful candidate will deliver engaging, high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, and will play a key role in shaping students' understanding of the world around them.

• Deliver well-planned and inspiring Geography lessons to KS3 and KS4

• Contribute to a collaborative, forward-thinking Humanities department

• Support student progress through effective assessment, feedback and intervention

• Take part in fieldwork opportunities, curriculum enrichment and whole-school events

• Uphold high standards of classroom behaviour, engagement and academic ambition

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Geography Teacher you will:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
• Experience teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for geography education
• A commitment to continuous professional development

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
