This ‘Outstanding’ school is looking to appoint an English Teacher for as soon as possible start. This is for Pupil Referral Unit School based in Tooting, Wandsworth.
About the role
As an English Teacher in their specialist setting, you will:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to meet the needs of pupils with additional needs, including those with EHCPs.
- Support pupils who may have faced challenges such as permanent exclusion, extended absences, or difficulty maintaining mainstream school placements.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere, encouraging pupils to develop confidence, skills, and a love for learning.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to implement strategies that enable each student to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of English Teacher you will:
- • Has a proven track record of teaching English at secondary level, with QTS or equivalent qualifications.
- • Understands the unique challenges of working with young people who have additional needs, including SEN and SEMH.
- • Is creative, adaptable, and resilient, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- • Shares our commitment to inclusive education and is motivated to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
