Smart Teachers are pleased to be working with a High Achieving Co-educational Secondary school located in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea. The school are looking to appoint a Design and Technology/ Art Technician to work with them on a Temp to perm basis from Jan 25
About the role
The role would involve the candidate working in partnership with class teachers, as directed, to support learning in line with the national curriculum, codes of practice and School policies and procedures. You would provide technical and administrative support, practical assistance and advice where required to staff and students of the School working flexibly across the Art and Design department. The Technician would support the teaching and learning of Art and Design Technology, by preparing practical activities within safety guidelines. This would involve preparing and the set up of equipment, materials and machinery as required. You would also be responsible for ordering and preparing resources.

The school is a hugely popular school in the located area and as such has a strong SLT Team who look to achieve the highest results for all students at the school. The school is well served by local Tube and Buses.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Design and Technology Technician Required for a Popular school located in Kensington and Chelsea you will:
- A - Level in DT or Science
- Degree in a Design or Technology Field
- Experience of Working within the DT field and the ability to set up and prepare for practicals
- Basic Health and safety Knowledge
- Flexible and Calm
- A interest in working within Education
- A Enhanced DBS or the willingness to obtain one
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
