Requirements

To be considered for the role of Art Teacher you will:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
• A relevant degree in Art or a related field
• Experience teaching Art at secondary level, with a strong understanding of the UK curriculum
• A passion for teaching and the ability to inspire creativity in students
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

• a minimum of a years experience within a mainstream secondary school

Key responsibilities

As Art Teacher you will be responsible for:

• Plan and deliver high-quality art lessons to students aged 11-18, in line with the national curriculum
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where creativity is encouraged
• Inspire and motivate students to develop their skills in various art forms, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media
• Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development
• Collaborate with the wider art department and participate in extra-curricular activities such as art clubs and exhibitions
